"just say URF!"
Hi, everybody! I'm Garen, a special friend of Paris'. He's given me some space on his server for me to have a small page, because I really don't know much about computers other than just watching Paris work with them. I'm in my late teens (actually about 18), and would be pretty big by your standards; I stand a little over 7 feet tall. And yes, both my parents were big, even though I never knew my father. We don't have a camera that can take my picture, so Paris has put up a picture of me that he did. He also did the sketch of me below. I guess I'm what you would call a "young hippie." I'm very much into healing the planet, as well as world peace and enlightenment for all beings. I LOVE going barefoot, and hanging out with Paris and my other friends. I guess I should really be talking about something enlightening here, but I'd rather just have fun. I met Paris back in 1995, and we've been best friends ever since. Actually, he and I are "soul twins." When we met, it was like we knew everything about each other, because we've been together since the very beginning of time. Paris' wife, Lela, was there as well. She is so sweet, and I love her very much, too. Right now, I'm guiding for Paris. You see, I'm a spirit. That is to say, I'm just like you guys, but I'm currently not in the third dimension. Other than that, I'm just like other people. It's a bit easier for me to get around since I'm not constrained to three dimensions. I'm also not locked into the current situations most beings in "lesson" have to deal with, which makes me a good guide for Paris. That is to say, I'm not without my problems. I'm very shy, for one thing; and I'm really sticking my neck out on the line to let Paris put this page up. I used to be rather insecure, but I'm getting over that as well. I've got a lot of Love in me, though, and I love to help others.
Some of the things I'm interested in are:
Barefooting. You may laugh on this one. A barefooting spirit? Spirits don't have feet! Ah, but we do. Not quite as dense as yours, but we do resemble you in form. We are not amorphous blobs "lumping" around, and we are not nothing but energy patterns. To visualize us so is to dehumanize us, and we share your humanity with you, including your physical (we call it etheric), emotional, and mental states of awareness. I love going barefoot. I wish everyone in your world could. Of course, I realize that there are dense objects in your world that would make a totally barefoot lifestyle uncomfortable and possibly dangerous at times. I cringe, though, when I see intelligent people who abuse their poor feet by cramming them in what I consider to be extremely ugly-looking footgear just for the sake of "style" or because someone told them that was the way it had to be. Women in particular seem to do this, often nearly crippling themselves with the use of high heels; which, I can assure you, serve no real purpose in the greater scheme of things. It's even sadder when I see fellow spirits who clad themselves in such footgear because the people who channel or otherwise work with them expect it of them, and wouldn't work with them unless they appeared to them that way. Some time ago, Paris and I were watching TV and there were many commercials on about something called "toenail fungus." According to the commercial, you should write off for a free videotape and brochure about how to get rid of toenail fungus so that you would not be embarrassed to go barefoot. Well, I have one thing to say about that. IF YOU
WERE GOING BAREFOOT TO Oops. Sorry, I got carried away there. But if ever there was a case of the cart before the horse! Where do you THINK toenail fungus, or ANY fungus like that, starts? In the dry air and sunshine? I think not! How about....warm, dark, moist places? Like the insides of your hot, smelly, ill-fitting shoes? The same place where you get that other much moaned-over malady of yours, Athlete's Foot Fungus!!! Start ditching the hot, uncomfortable, nasty shoes and maybe you will no longer have fungus. Then you will not have to spend so much money on foot powders and sprays and ointments. My advice to everyone is: Try to go barefoot at least once a day, and not just when you're going to bed. Take your shoes off when you enter your home. Forget about "what will people think?" Who cares? It's your home, after all. Walk barefoot in the grass and enjoy the sensation. As the great poet Kalil Gibran said, "the earth rejoices at the touch of your feet." Your feet are one of your main connections to the One Life, to the spirit world. There is reason that the Master wizard Jesus spoke of "washing one's feet" in order to be clean. There is much wisdom in that.
Tigers are some of the most noble beasts on this planet. I love tigers, and have several of them as pets on the Etheric. Sadly, if the current trend of the world keeps the way it is going, the etheric may be the only place you will be able to see tigers. They are fast disappearing from your world due to deforestation and depletion of their natural hunting lands. Thankfully, many of you are responding to the need to save the tigers from extinction. There are several movements out in your world geared towards preserving these noble beasts. One of these companies is Exxon, whose symbol has long been the tiger. In order to preserve the physical manifestation of its symbol, Exxon has launched a multimillion dollar campaign and fund to Save the Tiger. (Not only that, but their "Tiger Marts" are great places to go when traveling!) Exxon also pledges 3 cents out of every gallon of gasoline purchased goes towards saving the tigers. They stand by their trademark! Another sister foundation to Exxon's efforts is the Tiger Information Center on the Internet. Check them out to find out how you can help preserve the remaining five subspecies of tigers. We're regular attendees at the International Exotic Feline Sanctuary in Boyd, Texas, near where Paris and Lela live. This is a respite center for exotic felines who have been abandoned or abused in some way. The cats are very happy, and there are loads of tigers out there! Until Paris and Lela get trained as full-fledged volunteers, we and they mainly help out by doing some landscaping and visiting the cats.
Nearby Turner Falls is one of the most spiritual places one can visit in this area, the Chickasaw National Recreation Area. There are two springs there, Antelope and Buffalo springs, which are actually highly charged energy vortexes, one of them masculine, or "yang" (Antelope), and the other one feminine, or "yin" (Buffalo). I love it when Paris goes there, because he gets so charged up you wouldn't believe it! We nords bounce off the walls after going there. Wonderful things happen when we go to Chickasaw. There's fun swimming there, too. One thing I was overjoyed to see is now there is an
alternative to using the poisonous chlorine in your swimming pools.
It's called Baquacil
and is made from natural enzymes rather than chemical poisons.
Please consider using natural alternatives like Baquacil to keep your pool
clean, rather than poisoning yourselves and your environment. (P.S.
Your hair won't turn green, either!)
Other Links: World Transformation Network. This is my favorite spiritual site! Paris likes it, too. It has all sorts of great ideas on how to make the planet a better place. The Dirty Sole Society is an organization that actively advocates a barefoot lifestyle. They have much writing and information on the health-related aspects of going barefoot. In addition, they organize barefoot hikes in which you are encouraged to experience the thrill of going barefoot over various types of terrain.
I guess that's all I have to say for now. When I find something else that I really like on the Internet, I'll "urf" at Paris and get him to stick it in here. Until then, have fun, be good to yourself, and just say "urf!"
