Swords and Weaponry

All Barbarians need swords and weaponry! Check out the following sites for information on armor and weapons, and drool!.

The Knife Center is another good site for finding excellent swords and armor on the Web! I have heard good things about this place.

Kris Cutlery, another fine purveyor of blades, daggers, and swords on the Internet.

Arms and Armor's web site is one of the best I've come across yet  This is definitely for those seriously into medieval reinactment and period actors  (And for anyone else who loves being a warrior!) Their prices are high, but I've heard their quality is well worth it.

Fantasy Cutlery East has an exhaustive selection of weaponry from various cultures and eras, including barbarian Europe.

Boldo's Armory  Not just for arms and weapons, but also for gaming and hobbyists, including Magic the Gathering and AD&D.

Camelot Fantasy Swords. These are some of the finest quality fantasy-related swords in the world  Check out their fabulous, unique collection.

Kusari Kahn's Lair.  Chainmail, Costumes, Armor, Blacksmithing, and all things Barbarian.  OUTSTANDING resource site.

Museum Replicas Limited is an excellent company  I can personally vouch for the quality of their items, because several of my friends have ordered from them and are very happy with what they have. Their web site is limited in the information it gives; you are better off going there and ordering one of their catalogs.

Starfire Swords offers medieval European and Mongolian weaponry  They regularly display their wares at renaissance festivals around the country.

Swords-n-Stuff is another great online resource for swords and other weaponry.  They also have a fantastic axe and halberd section.

Clothing

  • Chivalry Sports is an online catalog center for Medieval fashions for men and women  They also specialize in jewelry, armor, weapons, and books.

  • House of Dra  Lady Dra is a skilled artist with the needle and thread as her brush and palette.  Her wearable creations may be used by barbarians, rogues, or the nobility; even as everyday wear  Check out her outstanding site and her work.  Lady Dra appears at two of the renaissance festivals I frequent:  Scarborough and Texas Renaissance Festival.

  • Get a Barbarian Bracelet/Armband or Torc from Mystic Caravan.  This place specializes in ornamental jewelry of the ancient Celtic and Norse varieties.

Other Barbarian Resources

Ah, Mead, the Barbarian potable! (And Viking, and pagan, and...well, you get the picture!)  Below are some good sites for learning more about mead and recipes for brewing:

Barbarians need horses to get around! Check out Azgard Farms, a top breeder of saddle horses in the San Antonio, Texas, area.

For barbarians in need of cultured refreshments, there's the Barbarian Wine and Cheese Society (relocated)
